Draw the process once.
Every document after that
writes itself.

Designer Flow Chart is a browser tool that turns one diagram into a suite of written documents — the work instruction, the build specification, the test script, the checklist and the rest — using only what you drew.

01 · What it does

Four things, in the order you actually do them.

Draw it, press one button to number it, press another to check it, then build the documents and export. Nothing here needs a developer, or accounts with anybody else.

01

Draw it

133 shapes, with access to multiple sets — SaaS, training, legal, manufacturing, campaigns, events, money, client work, or simply start from scratch. Boxes go inside boxes. Speech bubbles hold what will not fit in a shape.

02

Number it

One button reads the arrows and works out the whole hierarchy: Step 3, then Step 3 · Rule 1, then Step 3 · Rule 1 · Outcome 2. A rule cannot exist without the step it hangs off.

03

Check it

Nine checks: arrows that go nowhere, shapes nothing reaches, decisions with one answer, unnamed branches, rules with no outcome, empty shapes, half-finished numbering, and anything cut off from the start.

04

Build from it

A suite of documents, every one filled in from the drawing. Change the drawing and all of them map in the updates.

02 · The screens

What it actually looks like.

The Designer Flow Chart canvas: the shape set on the left, a marketing campaign flow being drawn in the middle, the shape editor open on the right.
The canvas. Pick the shape set that matches the job, draw the flow, and every shape carries its own reference, category and words — which is what the documents are written from.

One drawing. A suite of documents.

Every document is written from your shapes, arrows and labels. Where the drawing does not say something, the document says so — in those words — and names what is missing.

Pick one and read it

What a flow chart cannot write. Five things, and the tool says so rather than pretending otherwise: when a procedure must be used, who is accountable, the house rules the software does not enforce, how long records are kept, and who reviews it.

Steps, rules, outcomes — in that order, and never out of it.

A rule cannot exist on its own. It belongs to the step it hangs off, and whatever the rule leads to is an outcome of that rule and of that step. When a shape is reached by two different rules, it says so rather than picking one.

Boxes get parts. A branch off the second thing inside a box reads Step 1b · Rule 1 — never Step 1 · Rule 1, because that would lose which part of the box it came off.

Press the button and it does all of it. Or set it yourself, shape by shape, and it keeps the counters straight either way.

Press Number it
They land on the pricing page Step 1 Sign-up form Step 2 Did they pick a paid plan? Step 3 Yes → Checkout Step 3 · Rule 1 No → Free plan Step 3 · Rule 2 Subscription starts Outcome 1
A rule cannot exist on its own — press Number it and watch each one take the number of the step it hangs off.

It lays itself out on sheets, not in one long strip.

Pick the paper size you are going to print on and press Lay it out on pages. The sheets appear behind the drawing, so you can see how many pages your flow takes and exactly where each one breaks — before you send it anywhere near a printer.

A flow that runs off to the right is useless the moment somebody tries to print it. No shape is left sitting across a fold, and every printed sheet says which page it carries on to.

Tape them together and it is a map on a wall. A4, A3, A5, Letter, Legal or Tabloid, portrait or landscape.

03 · The walkthrough

Twenty minutes, live, with one of your own processes on the screen.

You name a process. On the call it gets drawn, numbered and checked, and you leave with the diagram and a work instruction built from it — whether or not you ever open an account.

Why live and not a download. Reading about a tool tells you what it claims. Watching your own process get drawn tells you whether it holds up.

Why the form asks who you are. An owner and someone working inside the process want a different twenty minutes.

What it costs. Nothing, and no obligation at the end.

Five fields. No card, no calendar app, no sales sequence — you get one reply from a person with times in it.

Your details are stored to answer you and for nothing else. No mailing list, no third party. See the privacy policy.
04 · Where your flows live

Your own space, and a copy on your own computer if you want one.

Your own folder

Every flow saves under your account identifier and nothing else. There is no address anyone could type that reaches somebody else's folder.

Or a folder on your desktop

Pick a folder on your own machine and every flow saves there too, as a plain file you can open, copy and back up yourself.

Nothing is held hostage

Export any flow as JSON, PNG, SVG, a zoomable web page, a printed booklet, plain text, Markdown or CSV — any time, on any plan, including the free one.

05 · By the numbers

Everything on this page that is a number, and where it came from.

Every figure below is counted from the tool itself, not estimated. Open it and you can check any of them.

133shapes, across nine sets
10flows already drawn to start from
9checks run over the drawing
528automated checks, 15 suites, all passing
1HTML file — the whole app, 261 KB
8formats a flow exports to
3saved flows on the free plan

What you will not find here. No customer count, no testimonials, no case studies, no hours-saved figure and no return-on-investment claim. This has not been running long enough for any of those to be true, and a number with nothing behind it is worse than no number at all.

06 · Pricing

Three prices. The free one is a real plan.

Draw, connect, sequence, print and export on the free plan, and keep two flows. The paid plans add the rest of the shape sets, the documents, screen snaps, page layout and cloud saving — and take the limit off how many flows you keep.

What you pay for

Every shape and all the checks are on the free plan, printing and exporting to PNG, SVG, HTML and PDF with them. The paid plans are for keeping more than three flows.

Monthly or yearly

Yearly works out better and is paid once. Start on whichever suits and move across whenever you like.

Your flows, if you stop

Nothing is deleted. You drop back to the free plan and can still open, print and export every flow you have — you can only edit two of those flows. Export any flow, any time, on any plan.

07 · Questions

What everybody asks.

What happens to my flows if I stop paying?

They stay. You drop back to the free plan, you can still open, print and export every flow you have, and the only thing that stops is saving new ones or editing old ones.

Can I get my work out?

Yes — any flow, any time, on any plan, in eight formats: JSON you can import back, PNG, SVG, a zoomable web page, a PDF, plain text, Markdown and CSV.

Do the documents actually get written, or is it a template?

Written, from your drawing. Your shapes, your labels, your arrows, your speech bubbles. Where your drawing does not say something, the document says the drawing does not say it and names what is missing. It never fills a gap with something plausible.

Is my drawing visible to anyone else?

No. Every flow is saved under your account identifier, and the storage address is built from that identifier and nothing else.

Do I need to know how to draw a flow chart?

No. Ten flows are already drawn and already numbered — sign-up and first payment, a new client from enquiry to first job, a quote to money in the bank, a complaint, a non-conformance, a web page section by section, and four more. Open one and change it into yours. Or book the walkthrough and one of yours gets drawn on the call.

Can I use it for training people, not just building software?

That is what most of it gets used for. Draw the screens somebody has to learn, one panel per section, and the work instruction, the checklist and the quick card all come out of the same map.

Bring one process.
Leave with it drawn.
